This page explains what we keep through this website, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted. It covers madewithishq.com and the Made With Ishq Fellowship. We have kept it short and plain on purpose.
Who holds your data
Made With Ishq is not yet a registered organisation. Until it is, the person responsible for your data is its founder, Arqum Beg, in Lucknow, India.
When an organisation is registered, this page will name it.

What we keep
When you join the waitlist, we keep:
- your email address
- your name, if you give it
- the language you used the site in
- the exact words you agreed to, in that language, and when you agreed
Nothing else. This site has no analytics or advertising trackers, and sets no cookies of its own.
What we use it for
To write to you about the Made With Ishq Fellowship: a confirmation when you join, and a message when applications open. That is what you agreed to, so that is all we use it for.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We will not use it for anything else, or for any other Made With Ishq initiative, without asking you first.
Who else sees it
A few companies run parts of this site for us. Each uses your data only to do that work:
- Supabase keeps the waitlist, in a database in Mumbai.
- Resend sends our emails, so your email address and the message pass through it.
- Cloudflare checks that a form was sent by a person, not a bot. For that check it sees your IP address and details of your browser.
- Vercel hosts the site. It keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run the site and keep it secure.
Some of these companies are based outside India, so your data may be handled abroad for this work.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. If the Fellowship stops, we delete its waitlist.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask what we hold about you, and who else has handled it
- have it corrected or completed
- have it deleted
- withdraw your consent at any time; we then stop writing to you and delete your details
- name someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to
- complain to us and, if our answer does not settle it, to the Data Protection Board of India
You can also reply to any email from us. We will answer within 30 days.

Children
Under Indian law anyone under 18 is a child, and a child's data needs the consent of a parent or guardian. The waitlist is not meant for children: if you are under 18, please do not sign up. If we learn that someone under 18 has, we will delete their details.
Changes to this page
Before we keep anything new, such as Fellowship applications, we will update this page and the date at the top.
