Made With Ishq Fellowship

Fellowship terms

Last updated 17 October 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and the Made With Ishq Fellowship. They apply when you apply, and if you are selected, you confirm them when you accept your place. We have written them to be read.

Who runs the Fellowship

The Made With Ishq Fellowship is run by its founder, Arqum Beg, in Lucknow, India. Made With Ishq is not yet a registered organisation. When it is, that organisation takes over these terms, and this page will name it.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no application fee and no program fee.

The Fellowship pays no stipend, salary or prize money. Taking part is not a job or an internship, and does not make you anyone's employee.

What you own

Everything you make during the Fellowship is yours: your code, your designs, your ideas and any company you start. The Fellowship takes no equity, no share of revenue and no rights in your work.

Made With Ishq may one day start a separate program that invests in companies. Being a Fellow never obliges you to take part in it.

What the Fellowship provides

For the length of your cohort:

  • a paid seat on one AI coding tool, which we choose
  • a live session with your cohort every week
  • a small cohort, split into pods
  • a private online group for the cohort, to work together between sessions; it stays open after the cohort ends
  • when your project is ready for users, the first year of its domain, registered in your name
  • a page on this site for you and your project, if you want one

If something on this list has to change, such as the tool, we will tell you first and replace it with the closest thing we can.

Your tool seat

The seat is on the Fellowship's account. It is for you alone, for building: please do not share your login or give anyone else access.

The company that makes the tool has its own terms, and you agree to follow them too.

Seats are renewed month by month for Fellows who keep taking part. When your cohort ends, or if you leave, the seat is removed, so keep copies of anything you need.

What we ask of you

Each week:

  • come to the live session, or tell your pod beforehand if you cannot
  • write a short update: what you shipped, who used it, what you learned and where you are stuck
  • keep building, and put what you make in front of real people

Use AI as much as you like, but be honest about your work: you should be able to explain every decision in what you built, and never pass off someone else's work as yours.

If you stop taking part without telling us, we will check in with you first. If you still cannot take part, we may give your seat to someone who can.

How we treat each other

  • Be kind and be direct. Criticise the work, not the person.
  • No harassment, discrimination or bullying, in sessions, in the group or in private messages, on any ground, including caste, religion, gender, language or where someone comes from.
  • What someone shares in the cohort stays in the cohort, unless they say otherwise.
  • Do not use the Fellowship's tools to build anything illegal, harmful or meant to deceive people.

If someone breaks these, tell us. We may remove anyone who does, along with their seat.

Write to us: fellowship@madewithishq.com

Your name and work in public

Nothing about you appears on this site, or in anything we publish, unless you say yes. You choose what is shown, and you can have it taken down at any time.

We may share overall numbers, such as how many people applied, without naming anyone.

Selection

To apply, you must meet the rules for your cohort shown on the Fellowship page. We choose Fellows through the steps described there. Our decisions are final, and we may not be able to explain each one.

We may change a cohort's dates or size before it begins. If we do, we will tell everyone affected.

Your details

How we keep and use your details is set out in our privacy notice.

Leaving, and ending early

You can leave at any time by telling us. What you built stays yours.

We may end a cohort, or the Fellowship, early. If we do, we will tell you as soon as we can, and what you built stays yours.

Limits

The Fellowship is offered free and in good faith. We cannot promise any particular result from it. We are not responsible for what Fellows build or how they use it, or for the AI tools' own outages or mistakes. Nothing here takes away any right you have under Indian law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Lucknow have jurisdiction over them.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and write to current Fellows before the change applies to them.
